The Prochef Story
Prochef is a design to manufacturing compamy of cooking appliances. We produce a wide range of innovative integrated ovens and range cookers in our modern custom built factory, that houses not only our production and development departments, but also the team of people who look after our customers.
Ambition
All great ambitions have humble beginnings, and ours was born in a small workshop and a wooden model. We had a belief (and still have), that consumers were often neglected by big multinational companies who simply sold them a mass produced homogeneous products that was designed to simply improve productivity. Why not listen to what British customers wanted, and make an oven that not only represented great value, but looked and performed the way you wanted it to look and perform.
Cooking products are at the heart of the kitchen and an integral part of our lives, and yet for decades no significant advancements have been made to improve their reliability or performance. Prochef set about finding out what was wanted through extensive research and building these requirements into a series of ideas for products, employing the latest technology and manufacturing methods, but retaining some character, giving great value, and most importantly offering real improvements over what was available.
Quality
Fundamental to reaching our ambition is quality. It is our belief that Factories producing millions of ovens a year and the consequent dehumanising of the employees, is in itself detrimental to quality. We at Prochef work in small teams who are focused on constant improvement and ensuring the product we are making meets our own expectations as a consumer. This attention to detail is reflected from the initial design right through to manufacture.
Components are of the highest standards and are selected for their performance and reliability. All products are built to stringent safety standards which not only meet, but in many cases exceed, present standards and legislation. Every product goes through an electrical and visual check before it is cleaned and signed off by the person who has assembled it.
